5/3 update
NATIONALS. After yet another second place finish to UCSC at Bay Area Sectionals, UGMO was hungry to make it back to the big show. Third seeded Cal came out fired up Saturday, rolling through Oregon State, Chico State, and Stanfurd in pool play. In the semis Cal got revenge on Cruz with a gritty 15-11 victory, highlighted by a furious 4-0 run to finish the game, punctuated with mind-blowingly ridiculous plays by Will DeLoache, Andrew Hagen, and Brandon Kwock. In the finals, Ugmo finally met an opponent too strong, falling to the Oregon juggernaut. But with a season on the brink, UGMO brought the fire against a solid UBC team in the backdoor game to go , pounding out a dominating 15-8 victory and punching a second straight ticket to nationals. More complete recaps will follow. Madison 2010. If you don't know by now, there are only three more weeks to ask somebody.
